Profile

Dr Naz Ahmadi is an Australian Trained Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon for both adults and children. She obtained her medical degree (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales, and then obtained her post graduate medical degree in Master of Surgery (Head and Neck surgery) from the University of Sydney. She trained at the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in both General Surgery (4 years accredited training) and Ear Nose and Throat Surgery. Dr Ahmadi obtained her FRACS in ENT (Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery), following comprehensive training spanning over a decade across Sydney and Melbourne in Rhinology, Otology, Paediatric, Head and Neck surgery, and Laryngology.

She is a current Lead of ENT surgeons at NSW Health - Northern Area Health Service. She also represents her peers as one of the younger fellows of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. In these roles Dr Ahmadi works toward education, training, maintaining the highest standard of care, and health advocacy.

Research

Dr Ahmadi is a surgeon, scientist and scholar. She is active at the University of Sydney, Macquarie University and the Australian National University in training medical students. She is involved in training future Ear Nose and Throat surgical trainees.

She is also active in research. In particular, she has been part of the research group at the Garven Institute (St Vincent Hospital) and Sydney Cancer Centre (Lifehouse). Her significant research with higher impact has been in the areas of Allergic Rhinitis / Chronic Rhinosinusitis, and Head and Neck Surgery.
